Works to existing glass factory.

This project was split into two distinct phases, a large FRC pit within the working area of the factory and remediation of an older area of site. The FRC works involved the excavation, dewatering, and construction of a reinforced concrete pit to a depth of over 5m within the live factory site. Overhall were heavily involved, at pre-construction phase, with the design of the pit and the temporary works system to ensure programme and cost savings to the client. The remediation works involved demolition, removal of redundant footings and surfacing to a disused area of the site, crushing the excavated material and re-using on site as a hardstanding so the area could be utilised for future development.
